  • Former Governor Cuomo’s attorney Rita Glavin held a presser on andrewcuomo.com which dropped a bombshell on New York AG James’ shoddy investigation into the sexual harassment allegations against Mr. Cuomo. Glavin’s 2 and half hour presser sounded more like a closing argument to a court case as she poked holes in the main accuser’s testimonies. She called on AG James to correct her report by appointing two ACTUAL independent investigators to start the whole thing over again from square 1. At this time Mr. Cuomo plans to give AG James the opportunity to correct herself, but remained ambiguous about the consequences of not complying. When asked what this meant for Mr. Cuomo’s political future she declined to comment.

They also announced that restaurant and bar patrons will have to show proof of vaccination starting January 19, 2022. Local hospitality workers are upset because the burden of enforcement is on them. It’s just one more thing they have to do without extra pay. They also argue that vaccinated people are still contracting the Omicron variant and spreading it. This ordinance comes too soon and is arguably ableist because it doesn’t consider medical and religious exemptions.

  • Minneapolis schools along with several other districts are moving to temporary remote learning due to teacher shortages and in an attempt to curb the spread of Covid-19. These teacher shortages have been a problem since at least 2014 and have been exacerbated by the pandemic.
