Top Prosecutors Investigating Trump Resign, Russia Begins Invasion of Ukraine, Texas and Florida continue attack on the LGBTQI+ Community.

February 23, 2022 Gala Sisters’ News Break

  • According to The Hill the Manhattan DA’s inquiry into Donald Trump took an interesting turn when top prosecutors resigned. We continue to hear nothing from AG Merrick Garland and President Biden on prosecuting Trump. So does this mean New York AG James will resign too?

  • President Biden signed an executive order yesterday imposing sanctions on Russia due to “a flagrant violation of international law” in regards to their attack on Ukraine. These sanctions will strongly hit Russia’s economy. Biden is prepared to impose even more sanctions if Putin does not back down.

  • Ukraine has issued a state of emergency across the entire country and urged their citizens to leave Russia. Putin, or Poopin as we like to call him, continues to surround Ukraine with over 150,000 troops. President Biden says that Russia has begun to invade Ukraine and it may get worse.

  • Andrew Cuomo’s lawyer, Rita Glavin, rocked the boat today after it became public that she is also working for The Trump Organization’s chief financial officer, Allen H. Weisselberg. People are wondering where exactly she stands politically.

  • Kim Potter was sentenced to 16 months in the manslaughter of Daunte Wright.

  • Last Thursday February 17 Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced the Senate will vote on the Women’s Health Protection Act on February 28th. This would protect women’s rights to abortions on a Federal level. The Gala Sisters will be out on the streets in support of this.

  • We are still waiting on Biden to certify the Equal Rights Amendment.

  • Ahmaud Arbery’s killers were found guilty of federal hate crimes yesterday.

  • A former Florida cop who allegedly accidentally shot a black caretaker of an autistic man has had his conviction overturned. The cop thought the autistic man was holding the other man hostage. This appears to be a clear case of ableism and discrimination. But, will anyone care? No.

  • Yesterday, Kyle Rittenhouse announced he intends to sue media outlets and celebrities who called him a “murderer”. As he was cleared in a court of law this is considered defamation and misinformation.

  • The Canadian government broke up the trucker convoy protests. Meanwhile, U.S. truckers are ready to drive to D.C. to protest covid restrictions. However, this makes no sense since the Supreme Court knocked down OSHA’s vaccine or test mandate.

  • Texas Governor Greg Abbott instructed the State’s child services to consider transgender medical treatments on children as child abuse.

  • Florida continues their rampage against the LGBTQIA+ community by adding a clause to the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” which would require school authorities to out gay children to their parents. This is terrible because it could put children in danger because some anti-gay parents will harm their children for coming out.

  • The WWE announced that The Undertaker, aka Mark Calaway, will be the first member of the 2022 Hall of Fame class.

  • Wrestlemania will be held over two nights April 2nd and 3rd in Texas. NXT Stand and Deliver will air on night 1 of Wrestlemania at 12P EST.

  • Finn Balor, our favorite WWE Wrestler, returned to RAW this past Monday. He issued a challenge to Damian Priest.

  • The Rolling Stone continues their crucifixion of Marilyn Manson by glorifying Evan Rachel Woods’ allegations against the musician. She is pushing to pass the “Phoenix Act,” along with her documentary called “Phoenix Rising.” Also known as “I’m a loser, get used to it”. To this day, there is no evidence to support her claims against Manson.
